Apicoectomy of tooth nos. 11 and 12 made easy by utilizing CT and Laser Diagnostics

ARTICLE PATIENT¡¯S CHIEF COMPLAINT : 1. ¡°There¡¯s pain on my front teeth & I want new set of porcelain crowns¡± HISTORY OF PRESENT ILLNESS : The patient felt pain on tooth#12 2 weeks prior to consultation. After assessing the diagnostic images taken using the Dental CT & Panorama equipments, I found widespread lesion at the right base of the Maxilla and around the apical area of tooth nos. 13 to 22. TREATMENT PLAN : Endodontic treatment and post curettage on tooth nos.13 to 22 Apicoectomy & bone graft on tooth no. 12 and 11

Through the Cross-Sectional View, we were able to check the changes of the condition of the alveolar bone surrounding tooth #13 from prior to surgery, immediately after surgery, and 2 months after surgery. In the same way, we were able to check the changes of the Alveolar Bone condition around tooth nos. 11, 12, 21, and 22 as seen below.

This is a 3D Perpendicular image View on General Curve function taken before the treatment. By utilizing the VR (Virtual Reality) Mode, it became easier to get an accurate treatment plan as well as ease in explaining the diagnosis and treatment to the patient.




On the Panoramic View of Cross-Sectional function, we were able to check the condition of the tooth after Bone Grafting.
